Responsible actions in current COVID-19 situation

COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease) is the disease caused by a virus strain that began spreading in people in December 2019. Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, headache and myalgia. Health experts are concerned because little is known about this new respiratory virus, and it can cause severe illness and pneumonia in some people.

Because of the current situation with the COVID-19 virus, Stala has made a decision to respect the social distancing advice and will not make any visits to our customers and partners. We are not allowing any visitors to our premises either. To protect our employees, we have decided to work remotely whenever it’s possible. Despite this, our production is running in full speed and our delivery times are totally normal at the moment.

We are available to our customers and partners by phone, email, fax or for virtual face-to-face meetings online. Also our web shop and online design and ordering tools are always open.

Impact on product availability

Our stock articles are available as normally and production of Stala Seven worktops with all back panels is running as normal. Also Tailor-made production in Sweden is in normal delivery mode. We will inform on any changes if needed.

How to protect against infection?

Coronaviruses are transmitted from one person to another, particularly via the respiratory tract, as a droplet infection. The greatest risk of infection occurs when the infected person coughs or sneezes in the immediate area.

Contagion is also possible as contact contagion through surfaces.

  • Keep your hands clean. Wash your hands with warm water and soap every time you go to work, before eating, smoking, sniffing and leaving work.
  • If washing with water and liquid soap is not possible, use an alcohol-based hand rinse unless otherwise instructed in your work.
  • When using an alcoholic hand rinse, take one at a time to rub your hands throughout.
  • If you use disposable gloves in your work, remove them without touching the outside of the gloves. Wash hands after removing protective gloves.
  • Do not touch your face or nose with protective gloves or dirty hands.
  • If you cough, cough the handkerchief, throw the handkerchief into waste. If you do not have a handkerchief, cough at the top of your sleeve. Don't cough your palm.
  • The use of a mouth-nose mask is not necessary, but healthcare personnel, people with coronavirus infection and their families are exceptions.
